Forest on fire in Riau

Riau Governor Rusli Zaenal had fly over to see the fired forest and field in two regency Bengkalis and Dumai (Daily Riau Pos, Thursday, January 29th, 2008). As following Governor from 42 fired point (hots spot) in Riau based on Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Directory, now remain only four fired point. That far has reduced he said. Indonesian government Jusuf Kalla is ready in aid to extinguish the forest fired. The fired Forest not National Park, but at Dumai is Forest Park Sepahat in Bukit Batu Regency. The fired location is far in center of forest so difficult to achieve the destination.
Smoky area is spread out boundary till cities around such as Pekanbaru, Duri, Bangkinang until Bukit tinggi had felt smoky air. The forest has been burning usually had fell down to open field such as crude palm. Indonesian law number 14 about forest confirm that the company had been felling down National Park Forest, will be a criminal sanction at ten years in cell, or five milliard rupiahs fine, and his field will be confiscated, such as had been happen in North Sumatera province. Governor hope the understanding the people to not burn a field, and to all company that had burn field law force will arrest them as law mention it.

Only in the morning and the evening this bridge is used and opened for public further more is only opened for PT. Caltex Oil Company, understand this bridge is belong to PT. Caltex Oil Company. Then after that, by cooperation between PT. Caltex now is known as Chevron and Province government is established Lekton Bridge was named by Siak River Bridge. Pekanbaru people in beginning does not knew that name when the contractor bridge company of Australia begin the Siak River Bridge Project. May be mean promotion that company write in big letter a street banner the name of that company LEICHTON at the both ends of planned bridge project. Since that Pekanbaru people guest leichton is the new name of Siak River bridge, caused that name is similar phonetic with the name of bridge before pontoon. Until in about year 1984, PT. Caltex insight that mistaken name of Siak bridge which known by the people till need to socialization name back to the people was “Jembatan Sungai Siak” or Siak River Bridge.

Malay people in Srivijaya Age

Tesso Nilo is forest of the national Park in Riau Province declared by government since 2004. Live there Sumatra Elephant, Sumatra Tiger. There also grow several kinds of plant and Tree such as Mahoni (Swietenia Macrophylla), Saga (Adenanthera pavonina), Gajus (Anacardium Accidentale, Jack Fruit or local name Nangka (atocarpus samaea), Ketapang or local name was known as Buton (Termala Clopacia) Meranti, Kempas, Nibung, Jati, Pulai. But Now some Hacker thief the woods illegally.

Illegal logging has made the forest damage, certainly disturb the Natural habitat such as Sumatran Elephant, Tiger. The Hacker not from people around them but some ocnumt of private company had license from government to hack the tree. The license is able from Regency, Governor, or from Forestry Department. Hereby I call all the competence part to keep our forest together so that our grandchild is able to live with pure air in the world.

Pekanbaru is my town

Pekanbaru is my town, in middle of Sumatra Island. This town develop to a big city. I love my town because, in this town I was born. So, many interesting in this town. Chevron, An American Oil Company had established in this town since 1930 that was still known as NPPM (Nederlands Petroleum Production Maskapij). Now, near this has established two paper fabric; Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper and Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper. In this town has established tree Mall; Anggrek Mall, Pekanbaru Mall, and SKA Mall. (Left Picture is Library Building and The Right Picture is Siak River) In this town has been streamed down by Siak river, split the town in two part north and south. Center of the town place in the south side. Siak river is used by the people for transportation, and fishing. Near Pekanbaru city twenty kilometers at south is also stream down the Kampar river. Kampar river is not as deep as Siak river, but more fish, so is more used by people for fishing then transportation. Contrast like the Siak river is till twelve meters depth so that big ship like tanker carrying oil to abroad is through Siak river. Oil Company like Chevron that was known as Caltex (Califonia Texas), used this river to export oil to all over the world.(in picture below is Pekanbaru Mall) Pekanbaru is developing city to Metropolitan have population about 754,448 persons as census year 2000. Spread in twenty kilometers squares. Average people works as employer in several kinds company, including in government offices and Department. Else is traders and some private business and many others.

Morning Gymnastic

Today, morning gimnastic the first time program do in Bustanul Ulum School. I take apart on it. Early confusing in mimicry the movement, becouse not clearly movement of the model in front. But in second part time the model take in the balcon of school. The model look clearly. I can follow the movement slowly. The Patron is four-four. Every four count the movement channge to difrent variacy patron. Just enjoy it, until felt to perspiration on it. Longs time I didn't sport. If this do every Saturday it is enough contribution increasing health. I intend to do this seriously if not any bare. And I hope to give useful in increasing health.

Earth Quake

Earth Quake had come to Pekanbaru In tuesday March 6, 2007.

That Earth Quake had made teachers and student in an Islamic Junior International school Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru panic.
That Earth Quake had happen twice at 11:00, in local time. In first time quake children scattered out from study room to the school field followed the teachers.

After an hour waiting in school field, the pupils back to study. This happen however not made any damages but it is enough made the study process felt disturbed.

In the second time quake felt stronger, the children back home early. Indonesians television Metro TV reports that earth quake is 16 km from Batu Sangkar Village, West Sumatra province Indonesia, strengthen 5.8 Rechter Scale. But Riau Television (a Pekanbaru local television) has reports cited from Singapores Metrology institution reports that earth quake had been strength 6.6 Rechter scale.
